Furazolidone is an antibiotic used to treat diarrhea and enteritis caused by bacteria or protozoan infections
Hypotension, urticaria, fever, arthralgia, colitis, proctitis, anal pruritus, nausea/vomiting, headache, malaise, disulfiram-like reaction, hemolysis in G6PD deficiency.
One report reported that Asian ginseng (Panax) combined with phenelzine caused headaches and trembling.
Ephedra contains ephedrine. MAO inhibitors block the degradation of epinephrine. Combining both may cause hypertension.
Green tea contains caffeine which promotes the release of catecholamines (epinephrine and norepinephrine).

Scotch broom contains tyramine, which can elevate blood pressure when combined with MAO Inhibitors.
